Funeral services for Patty McDonald Threatt, 80, of the Clinton Presbyterian Community and formerly of Bethune, will be held Sunday afternoon, April 29, at 3:00 in the sanctuary of Bethune Baptist Church, Bethune. Dr. Jeri Parris Perkins of First Presbyterian Church of Clinton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Scotch Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Clinton Presbyterian Community on Monday, May 7, at 3:00 p.m.
Mrs. Threatt, loving wife of the late Ben Frank Threatt died Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Presbyterian Community in Clinton. Born in Bethune, she was a daughter of the late W.A. McDonald and Alma Hunter McDonald. She was a nurse and a former employee of Springs Industries. She was a faithful member of Bethune Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Surviving are two sons, Benjamin Joseph Threatt and his wife Susan of Grandville, MI, Jerre Franklin Threatt and his wife Tiffaney of Clinton, SC, and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are her two sisters, Barbara Moore of Fort Myers, FL, Joyce McDonald of Newberry, and brother, Neil McDonald of Camden.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 29, prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Threatt may be sent to: Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina, Clinton, 801 Musgrove Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
The Threatt family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Clinton Presbyterian Community for the love, support and kindness they showed in caring for Mrs. Threatt over the past five years, as well as Hospice of Laurens County in recent weeks.
