Patricia Blackwell 'Pat' Catoe

Funeral services for Patricia Blackwell Pat Catoe, 67, will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, January 24, at Kershaw Second Baptist Church. The Revs. Jamie Rogers and Hugh McKinney will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.

Pat died Friday, January 22, in Palmetto Health Richland Hospital, Columbia. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of Ervin Blackie and Mamie Mangum Blackwell. She was a optometrist assistant with Drs. Kelly and McDowell , PA for 22 years. Pat was the recipient of the National Para Optometric Award for outstanding service in vision care in 1984. She was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church, serving in various capacities including, GA Leader and the Benevolent committee. She served on the election commission and the Kershaw Town Council for a number of years. She especially enjoyed her Red Hat Group, The Dazzling Dames. She also enjoyed her role as a visitation greeter at Baker Funeral Home.

Surviving in addition to her parents of Kershaw are her husband of 49 years, Connie D. Catoe of the home, two sons; Dana Catoe of Lexington and Warren Catoe and his wife Shannon of Lancaster, three granddaughters; Nikki Catoe, Sam Catoe, Alex Catoe and a grandson; Logan Catoe, and a brother; Erbie Blackwell and his wife Gwen of Aiken.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, January 23, from 5 to 7 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home.
