Ozie Taylor

Funeral services for Ozie Taylor, 80, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 30, 2008, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Burial will follow with military honors in the Abney Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. Dr. Todd Morris and Kenneth Catoe will officiate.

Mr. Taylor died Saturday evening, September 27, 2008, in the Kershaw County Medical Center, Camden. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late Bogan and Annie Bradley Taylor. He was retired from the US Army and American Note Bank in New York. He owned and operated the Kershaw Restaurant for many years along with his wife. Mr. Taylor enjoyed gardening and carpentry work.

Surviving are his loving wife of 51 years; Chieko Onuma Taylor of the home, one brother; Charles Jack Taylor of Lancaster, five sisters; Nettie Taylor of Camden, Nellie Faulkenberry, Eva Catoe, Mary Gandy and Bertha Outen and her husband Richard all of Kershaw. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends, Monday, September 29, 2008, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home.
