Oscar Allison Faile, Jr.

Funeral services for Oscar Allison Faile, Jr., 77, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 3, 2010, in First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Bryant D. Fersner will officiate.

Mr. Faile, born in the Charlesboro Community of Lancaster County, was the son of the late Oscar Allison, Sr., and Elizabeth Bryant Faile. He retired from Dupont Co. after 39 years of service. Mr. Faile was a member of First Baptist Church where he was a member of the Fishermen's Sunday School Class. He was very active in the Young at Heart Group at the church and enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels. He was a member of Kershaw Senior Citizens Group and participated in traveling with the group . He was a fan of Bluegrass Music and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are a daughter; Donna F. Taylor (W.R.) of Lugoff, 2 sons; James A. Featherweight Faile and Steven M. Pudge Faile both of Kershaw, 4 grandchildren; Anna Leigh Taylor of Goose Creek, Jessica Lee Faile Blackmon of Kershaw, Allan R. Taylor of Lugoff, Jamie Michelle Faile of Kershaw, a sister; JoAnn Faile (Wendell) of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Helen Anderson Faile, a grandson, Thomas Allison Tommy Faile and a sister; Vivian Cambra.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, October 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 301 W. Welsh Street, Kershaw.
