Odessa Baker Faile

Funeral services for Odessa Baker Faile, 86 of Kershaw, S.C. will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 5, 2014, in the sanctuary of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. The Revs. Jamie Rogers and Don Knight will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Mrs. Faile, widow of Willie Pelza Faile died Friday, January 3, 2014, at her home. Born in Kershaw, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Gettys Whiteford and Lillie Roberts Baker. She retired from the Kendall Co. and was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. She also enjoyed music, reading and taking care of others. Surviving are 3 sisters, Doris West and Shirley Connell both of Kershaw, Betty Sue (Buck) West of Bethune; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by 6 sisters, Beatrice Bowers, Magdalene Baker, Dotsy Baker, Marie Hancock, Edna Parker, Eleanor Watkins and a brother, Albert Baker. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the church Family Life Center.
