Oberia Young Estridge

Funeral services for Oberia Young Estridge, 92, will be held Sunday, July 1, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in Midway Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Todd Gandy will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 30, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Midway Baptist Church Building Fund, 7760 Old Jefferson Hwy., Kershaw, S.C. 29067 Mrs. Estridge, widow of William Woodrow Estridge, died Thursday, June 28, 2012. Born in Westville, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. and Paris Watson Young. Mrs. Estridge was formerly employed with B.C. Moore’s Department Store. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church where she was a former member of the choir and the W.M.U. Surviving are her children; Ann Lowery of Heath Springs, Jerry Estridge (Becky) of Anderson, Janice Jewett (Gerald) of Kershaw, and Gale Stroud (Doug) of Kershaw; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Inez Croxton and brother, Earl Young.
