A graveside service for Julian Norris McEntire, Jr., 62 of Heath Springs will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 5, 2013, at Flint Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. Kelvin Hinson and Mike Vinson will officiate. Mr. McEntire died Tuesday, September 3, at his home. Born in Newberry, SC, he was the son of Julian Norris McEntire, Sr., and the late Bertha Mae McConnell McEntire. Mr. McEntire was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church of Camden and a US Air Force Veteran. He was employed with Rock Hill Industrial Piping and Fabrication. He was married to the late Mary Ann Glover McEntire. Surviving in addition to his father are a son, Michael “Chucky” Croxton (Connie) of Camden; 2 daughters, Amy Croxton of Kershaw and Lyndsey McEntire of Camden; five grandchildren, Brandon Hancock, Hope Croxton, Sidney Croxton, Michael Croxton and Bryson Croxton; two sisters, Julia Roberts (Wayne) of Kershaw, Lucy Newman (Travis) of Lugoff; two brothers, Harrison McEntire (Martha) and Ed McEntire (Debbie) all of Kershaw. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, September 4, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 2335 G.W. Phillips Ln., Heath Springs.
