Ned Sowell

Funeral services for Ned Sowell, 84, will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009, at 3:00 P.M. in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Terry Corder will officiate.

Mr. Sowell died Thursday evening, March 12, 2009, in Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late William P. and Hattie Catoe Sowell. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and a farmer.

Surviving are two sisters; Lexsy S. Jones of Blackville, Polly Sowell of Kershaw and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Norman Paul Sowell and ENS John Gary Sowell.

The family will receive in the church fellowship hall following the committal service.
