Neal Thomas Ellis, Sr.

Graveside services for Neal Thomas Ellis, Sr., 67, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 30, 2008, in the Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Owens will officiate.

Mr. Ellis died Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Unicare Hospice, Rock Hill. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of the late Odell and Pearlie Gardner Ellis. He was a supervisor at Springs Industries ( Grace ) for more than 20 years and also retired from Lowe's. Mr. Ellis was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era receiving a purple heart. He also served in the National Guard.

Surviving are a daughter; Angela McDonald and her her husband Tom of Conway, a son; Neal Tommy Ellis, Jr. of Conway, a step-son; Robbie Lane of Myrtle Beach, a granddaughter; Mahala McDonald of Conway, five sisters; Mary Ann Morgan and her husband Billy of Kershaw, Jeanette Brasington and her husband William of Great Falls, Linda Knight and her husband Eddie of Pageland, Judy Owens and her husband Ronnie, Mae Morgan and her husband Roger all of Kershaw. He was preceded in death by a sister; Nancy E. Sims and and set of Twins.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday December 30, 2008, from 1:30 to 2:30 prior to the graveside service at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister, 81-A Catoe Road, Kershaw.
