Myrtle Gandy Hinson

A funeral service for Myrtle Gandy Hinson, 91 of Kershaw will be held at 11:00 o’clock a.m., Friday, April 22, in the sanctuary of White Bluff Baptist Church. The Revs. Doug Humphries and Gene Lawhorne will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Hinson, loving wife of the late Lewis J. Hinson passed away, Tuesday, April 19, at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. and Minnie Taylor Gandy. Mrs. Hinson was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a dedicated member of White Bluff Baptist Church, where she was a preschool teacher for many years. Mrs. Hinson also retired from Springs Industries.

Surviving are two sons, Donald (Judy) Hinson and Dale (Fran) Hinson and a daughter, Kathryn H. Robinson; five grandchildren, Darren (Pam) Hinson, Wayne (Jennifer) Taylor, Don Hinson, Bo Dover and Chris Dover; six great grandchildren, Trevor Hinson, Ethan Hinson, Matthew Wright, Preston Wright, Claire Taylor and Dillinger Taylor; a sister, Ruth (Gene) Lawhorne and three brothers, Charles (Marylou) Gandy, Otis Gandy and Ralph Gandy. She was preceded in death by five brothers, four sisters and a son-in-law, Jack Robinson.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, April 21, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 3206 Mining Road, Kershaw.
