Myrtis Morgan Holden

Funeral services for Myrtis Morgan Holden, 75, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 24, at Flint Ridge Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. The Revs. Kelvin Hinson and Steve Neal will officiate. Mrs. Holden died Tuesday, December 22, in Kershaw Health, Camden. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Vannie and Carmie Holden Morgan. She retired from B.C. Moore and Sons Department Store. She also owned and operated Holden's Upholstery for 27 years. She was a member of Flint Ridge Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and flowers. Surviving are her husband; Charles “Gene” Holden of the home, a daughter; Donna H. Blackmon and her husband Randy of Heath Springs, a granddaughter; Deborah Hudson and her husband Kevin of Heath Springs and a great granddaughter Kaitlyn Hudson, two sisters; Elsie Deason of Charlotte, N.C. and Margie Floyd of Rose Hill, N.C. , two brothers; Billy Morgan and Rodger Morgan both of Kershaw. She was predeceased by a granddaughter; Maranda Blackmon, two brothers and a sister.
