Mitchell Todd Bowers

Funeral services for Mitchell Todd Bowers, 45, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 31, 2011, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Doug Humphries will officiate. Mr. Bowers died Monday, August 29, in Palmetto Health Richland Hospital, Columbia. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Carol Hinson Bowers and the late Raeford Bowers. He was a utility inspector with the South Carolina Department of Transportation. Mr. Bowers was a member of Fork Hill Masonic Lodge # 316. He also enjoyed woodworking, gardening and being a foster parent. Surviving in addition to his mother of Heath Springs is his wife; Nancy Knight Bowers, 2 daughters; Leann Outen of Heath Springs, Kimberly Outen of Kershaw, a granddaughter; Caeley Truesdale, a grandson; Cameren Truesdale , 2 sisters; Debra Bowers Luz and her husband Tony of Heath Springs, Amy Lynn Bowers of Kershaw, a nephew; Brian M. Luz and a niece; Tina Rose Luz. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, August 30, from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home.
