Mildred Vincent Thompson

Funeral services for Mildred Vincent Thompson, 92, of Heath Springs, SC, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday. April 19, 2013, at Hanging Rock United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. Hope Avins and Todd Gandy will officiate. Mrs. Thompson, widow of Wallace Brown Thompson died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at her home. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Luther Davis and Mamie Thorne Vincent. She was a homemaker and a member of the Busy Bee Circle at the church where she was a member. She also enjoyed ministering to others and being a hairdresser. Surviving are 2 sons; Gary (Peggy) Thompson, Roger (Karen) Thompson, 3 grandchildren; Angela (Ray) Hayhurst, Melissa (Todd) Gandy and Dale Thompson, 5 great grandchildren; nieces; Faye Bowers and Sue Bowers. She was preceded in death by a son; William Thompson, a sister; Floride Phillips and a special friend; Annabell Williams. The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home of her son; 2641 Kershaw Counrty Club Rd., Heath Springs.
