Funeral Service for Mildred Truesdale Kelley, 76, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 21, 2009, in First United Methodist Church. The Revs. Anita Bozardt and Bryant D. Fersner will officiate.
Mrs. Kelly, widow of Dr. E. A. Kelley, Jr., died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, in Palmetto Health Richland Hospital, Columbia. Born in Rochester, New York, she was the only child of the late William Jack and Mary Belk Truesdale. Mrs. Kelley was an optician assistant at her late husband's optometry practice in Kershaw and Pageland. She had served on the Lancaster County School Board, and was the former owner of the Red Door Craft Shop. Mrs. Kelley was an accomplished artist in many different mediums. She was a former member of the King Alfred Garden Club, the Ten Tallies Bridge Club and a former Brownie leader. She was a member of First Methodist Church, where she served in many capacities.
Surviving are a daughter; Leslie Mackey and her husband David of Rock Hill, a son; Eddie Kelley and his wife Lynn of Kershaw, four grandchildren; Kristen Mackey of Columbia, Allison Kelley of Kershaw, Nolan Mackey of Rock Hill and Amber Kelley of Kershaw.
The family will receive friends, Friday, March 20, 2009, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, 6698 Olde Place Road, Kershaw.
