Funeral services for Mildred Cole Millie Blackmon, 89, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 3, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Anita Bozardt will officiate.
Born in Heath Springs, she was the daughter of the late William Palmer and Daisy Cauthen Cole. Mrs. Blackmon died Tuesday, September 29. She was a Member of First United Methodist Church, Kershaw, a lifetime member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary and a homemaker. She was married to the late Robert Alexander Blackmon.
Surviving are two daughters; Lynda B. MacLean and her husband Bruce of Columbia, MD, Janet B. Rogers of Lugoff, a son; Robert S. Blackmon and his wife Nancy of Lake Tahoe, CA,
four grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and a step sister; Onie Morris. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Elton Cole, Tommy Cole and a sister; Loree Mackey.
The family will receive friends, Friday, October 2, from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home 309 S. Matson St., Kershaw.
