Michael T. "Mike" Frost

Michael Thomas “Mike” Frost, 56, of Kershaw, S.C., lost his 2 year courageous battle with cancer, Saturday, January 23, 2021, at his home. Born in Camden, S.C., he was a son of the late David Allen Frost and Freda Bailey Frost. While attending Camden High School, Mike played football and was on the wresting team. Mike was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed nature, hunting and fishing. His infectious personality and smile assisted him in never meeting a stranger. Mike was proud to be employed with Morgan Corp. He served as a project safety manager. Mike was the rare person who had the ability to make genuine personal connections instantaneously. He developed meaningful personal relationships in the workplace and nearly everyone who spent any time with him felt like they had a friend in Mike.

Surviving are his wife, Cheri Reeves Frost; his children, Michael Thomas Frost, Jr. of Camden, S.C., Claudia (David Watson) Frost of Camden, S.C., Lindsey R. (Van) Steen of Heath Springs, S.C. and Mandy Richardson of Kershaw, S.C.; 4 grandchildren, Carter Grace Watson , Madilyn Richardson, Raven Blackmon and Wrenn Williams; 3 sisters, Barbara (Ronald) Copeland, Lisa (Nicky) Long all of Camden, S.C. and Linda (William) Jackson of Temple, TX; numerous nieces and nephews and his father-in-law, Elliott (Betty Jean) Reeves of Kershaw, S.C. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Katherine Grace Frost, who passed away, January 5, 2021. The family would like to acknowledge the many friends Mike had including our adopted brother and friend, Tommy Baker, for all he has done and means to our family.

Floral tributes are welcomed and memorial contributions may be directed to Morgan Corp. Scholarship Fund, c/o The Spartanburg County Foundation, 424 East Kennedy Street, Spartanburg, S.C. 29302. This scholarship is awarded to a high school graduate attending college.

A graveside service to remember and celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 o’clock p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2021, in the Kershaw City Cemetery, 190 Kirkland Ave., Kershaw, S.C. 29067. The Rev. Dr. Bruce Price and Mr. Jay Lynch will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Dustin Adair, Ben Boland, Ronnie Jackson, Chuck Kirkley, Justin Miller, Alex Moser, Taylor White and Chuck Wright. We ask that everyone please practice social distancing and wear a face covering for their safety.

Those wishing to pay their respects and sign the register may do so from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2021, and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2021, at Baker Funeral Home.
