Michael Gary Holden

A graveside service for Michael Gary Holden, 41, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 11, 2009, in Kershaw City Cemetery.

Michael died Friday, May 8, 2009, in Palmetto Health Richland Hospital, Columbia, S.C. from injuries sustained in an accident. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Gary C. and Bonnie Sowell Holden. He was employed as a mechanic with Duracell / Procter and Gamble-Lancaster. Mr. Holden attended Union Baptist Church, Lancaster. He was a 1985 graduate of Andrew Jackson High School, attended Coastal Carolina and USC. Mr. Holden served in the US Army for three years and the Air National Guard for three years. He enjoyed playing softball, riding motorcycles and spending time with his son Lake.

Surviving in addition to his parents of Kershaw are a son; Lake Holden, his former wife and special friend; Rhonda Holden and her daughter; Alyssa Couch all of Lancaster, his fiance; Michelle Banks and her children; Ashyln and Autry Blackmon all of Lancaster and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends any time at the home, 6365 North Matson Street, Kershaw.
