Mendel Eugene Faile, 78, of Kershaw, passed away, Sunday evening, April 12, 2020, Born in Lancaster, County, he was a son of the late Grady Faile and Lucy Starnes Faile. Mr. Faile was a graduate of Flat Creek High School and retired from Springs Industries. He loved to fish, work in his garden and ride his motorcycle. He also enjoyed hunting in his younger years. He was of Baptist faith.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Melissa D. Rone of Camden and Christy F. Newton and her husband Norman Newton, III of Kershaw; 3 grandchildren, Garrett Rone, Branden Rone and Ellery Newton; a sister, Nancy Wadsworth of Jefferson and a brother, Leroy Faile of Charlesboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Manley Faile and Willis Faile.

A graveside service will be held, Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at 11:00 o’clock a.m. in Blackmon Cemetery, Kershaw. Burial will follow the service in the cemetery. Mr. Charlie Medlin will officiate.

The family will acknowledge friends at the graveside following the service.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2020, from 12:00 o’clock noon until 4:00 o’clock p.m. at Baker Funeral Home.
