A graveside service for Melvin Lester “Buckshot” Hopkins, III, 31 of Heath Springs will be held at 10:30 o’clock a.m., Thursday, June 14, in the Boonetown Cemetery, Kershaw. Mr. Jimmy Faile will officiate.
The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home, 585 Purple Laurel Lane, Kershaw.
Mr. Hopkins died Saturday, June 9, along with his girlfriend, Courtney Lloyd. Born in Camden, he was a son of Melvin Lester “Shot” Hopkins, Jr. and Emmera Jean Sheorn Hopkins. He was employed with Randy Bowers Construction. He enjoyed fishing, canoeing,the outdoors and riding his motorcycle. He was hardworking and was known as Mr. Fix-It.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his sister, Melissa (David) Robinson; a brother, Brandon Williams and 2 nephews, Blake Truesdale and Austin Robinson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
