Melissa Marie Jackson

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Melissa Marie “Lisa” Jackson, 42 of Cassatt, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Saturday, May 12, from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw.

Miss Jackson died Saturday May 5, at the Medical University Hospital, Charleston, SC. Born in Florence, She was a daughter of Joan Self Gabel and Alvin Johnston. She was a nursing assistant with South Carolina ENT. She also enjoyed shopping, cooking and planting flowers.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her sister, Sheila Fite and her husband, James, Sr., her brother, Rick Deese and his wife Hope; niece, Carlie Jowers and her husband Jared; 2 nephews, Alex Heiselt and James Fite, Jr.; maternal grandmother, Irene Joyner ; fiancé , Arthur L. Holmes and a large extended family.

The family will receive friends, Friday, May 11, from 6:00 to 8:00 o’clock p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of her parents.
