Matthew Kirk Lane

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Matthew Kirk Lane, 25, of Myrtle Beach and formerly of Kershaw will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Baker Funeral Home , Kershaw. Rev. Bryant D. Fersner will officiate. Matthew died Sunday, March 17, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach. Born in Columbia, he was the son of Susan Williford Lane and the late David Kirk Lane. He was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and held an Associates Degree in business administration with emphasis in culinary arts from Horry-Georgetown Technical College. He was a waiter at Sun City Cafe. Matthew was an amazing person with a big heart, unforgettable charm and personality. He had a smile that would light up a room. He put his whole heart and soul in evertything he did and everyone he loved. He will be missed by many but forgotten by none. He was also a avid Clemson fan. This world will not be the same without him. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his angles. Psalm 116:15. Matthew is survived by his mother of Myrtle Beach, his twin brother; Jeremy Lane and his wife Amber of Myrtle Beach, a sister; Corrie Lane Shores and her husband Than of Lancaster, a brother; Greg Bibbey of Texas, a niece; Jaden Lane , a nephew; Jaxon Lane, his maternal grandmother; Rosa Lee Felts and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will gather briefly following the service at the funeral home to speak with friends and family.
