Mary Lee Elmore Baker

Mary Lee Elmore Baker,88 of Lancaster, died Tuesday, December 1, in Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Gastonia, N.C., she was the daughter of the late George Harmon and Lou Ola Andrews Elmore. Mrs. Baker had retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Lancaster Memorial Park. Rev. Curtis Cameron will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Baker's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621.

Surviving are daughters, Linda Sowell (Chuck) and Brenda Smith (Billy), both of Lancaster; sons, Charles R. Elmore (Ruby), Jerry M. Baker (Debbie), Jerome Dock Baker, Jr. (Charlene) all of Lancaster, and Michael Eugene Baker (Yvonne) of Heath Springs; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson; sister, Rosa Faye Withrow of Gastonia, NC.
Mrs. Baker was predeceased by a son, Jimmy Harmon Baker and her former husband, Jerome Dock Baker, Sr.
