Mary Kennington Robinson

Funeral services for Mary K. Robinson, 79, of Kershaw, SC, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 7, in the sanctuary of White Bluff Baptist Church. The Revs. Doug Humphries, Charlie Simpson and Mr. Jason Smith will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Robinson died Wednesday, October 4, at her home. Born in the Charlesboro community of Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late Hazel Leroy and Nancy Gordon Kennington. She retired from the Dupont Co. and was a faithful member of White Bluff Baptist Church. Mrs. Robinson loved the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved flowers, working in her yard and vegetable gardening.

Surviving are her loving husband of 61 years, Heyward J. Robinson of the home; a son, Mike (Denise) Robinson; 2 daughters, Sharon ”Sherry” (Dennis) Williams, Dawn (Deryle) Blakley; 7 grandchildren, Nancy (Jason) Smith, Anna (J.T.) Sims, Brian Williams, Will Blakley, Jason Blakley, Jackson Robinson and Lindsey Robinson; 7 great grandchildren, Gracie, Jaycie, Abby, Elizabeth, Avery, Brona and Mary Alice; a sister, Betty Pruitt and 3 brothers, Hazel Kennington, Jr., Donald (Margie) Kennington and Gordon (Esther) Kennington. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Holcomb.

The family will receive friends, Friday, October 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 6987 Flat Creek Rd., Kershaw.
