A service to celebrate the life of Mary Jane Plyler Estridge, 67 of Kershaw will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2013, in Midway Baptist Church. Rev. Todd Gandy will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home, 7263 Estridge Ave., Kershaw. Mrs. Estridge passed away at her home, Wednesday, September 4, 2013, surrounded by her family and friends. Mary Jane was born in Richmond, Virginia, a daughter of the late Ezell Azarah and Georgia Lee McManus Plyler. Surviving are her husband, Edwin of 53 years; her daughter, Angel Estridge and her granddaughter, Ember Estridge all of Kershaw. Mary Jane was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, reading, crocheting and anything pertaining to nature. She loved to pray for her family and friends. Also surviving are a sister; Lucy Burgess and husband Tommy; three brothers, Robert Plyler, Mike Plyler and wife Marcy, Joe Plyler and wife Wanda, all of Monroe, NC; sister-in-law Rachel Plyler, of Lakeland, Fl; her in-laws , Harriet Estridge, Virginia Lee Faile and husband S.W., Pauline Williams and husband Wayne, Robert Estridge and Frank Estridge and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Plyler , a sister, Thetus Faile and husband Keith; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Gena Plyler, William Estridge, Paul Estridge and wife Carolyn, and Jeannie Estridge.
