Mary Hunter Payne

Funeral services for Mary Hunter Payne, 73, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 27, 2008, in Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. The Revs. Jamie Rogers and Hugh McKinney will officiate.

Mrs. Payne died Wednesday, December 24, 2008, in Kershaw County Medical Center, Camden. She was the daughter of the late Howard Burl and Maude Edwards Hunter. She was retired from Duracell and a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Mrs. Payne was married to John Thomas Payne.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are a daughter; Debbie Lane of Camden, two sons; Danny Payne and his special friend; Annie Hinson of Kershaw , Wes Payne of Kershaw and a granddaughter; Corrie Lane of Charleston.
She was preceded in death by a sister; Carolyn (Pat) Hayes and four brothers; Bruce Hunter, Jimmy Hunter, Billy Hunter and Dean Hunter.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 26, 2008, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 6528 Springs Street, Kershaw.
