Mary Faulkenberry

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mary Neal Sims Faulkenberry, 84, of Heath Springs, will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, Februaty 28, 2012, in Fork Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Plain Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. J.D. Shiflet and Steve Neal will officiate. Mrs. Faulkenberry, widow of Rudolph Bill “Rudy” Faulkenberry died Sunday, February 26, at her home. Born in the Flat Creek Township of Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Stewart and Effie Neal Sims. She loved her church, her family, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. The simple things in life are what made our Mama happy, like God’s beautiful flowers and his precious birds. She had a sweet, kind, loving and gentle spirit that made her so easy to love. Mrs. Faulkenberry was a member of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church where she was a member of the Women’s Sunday School Class. Surviving are four children, Randy “Sheep Dog” Faulkenberry (Pat), Jan Catoe (Sonny), Billy “Hay Stack” Faulkenberry (Carla) and Beth Jenkins (Clay) all of Flat Creek; ten grandchildren, Brian, Brad and Chuck Faulkenberry, Griff and Brannan Catoe, Kirk and Kody Faulkenberry, Brance, Cori and Gatlin Jenkins; ten great grandchildren, Garret, Katie, Brent, Toby, Jackson, Kaden, Allan, Malori, Walker and Kirsten; two sisters, Margaret Faulkenberry and Hazel Jewett. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jared Catoe. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers Mrs. Faulkenberry had, Kathy Jones, Betty Ghent, Nikki Hodges, Linda Lockman, Elizabeth Wallace, Norena Watts, Renee Vargus and Holly Starnes.
