Funeral service for Mary Ann Glover McEntire, 58, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 1, 2009, in Flint Ridge Baptist Church, Heath Springs. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Kelvin Hinson and Mike Vinson will officiate.
Mrs. McEntire died Tuesday evening, April 28, 2009 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Lancaster Co., she was the daughter of Dorothy Criminger Glover and the late Edgar Snookie Glover. She was retired from Duracell and had worked for the Department of Transportation, Camden.
She attended Flint Hill Baptist Church, Camden. Mrs. McEntire loved to garden and look for artifacts.
Surviving in addition to her mother of Lancaster are her husband; Norris McEntire of the home, a son; Michael Chucky Croxton and his wife Connie of Camden, two daughters; Amy Croxton of Kershaw, Lyndsey McEntire of Camden, five grandchildren; Brandon Hancock, Hope Croxton, Sidney Croxton, Michael Croxton and Bryson Croxton, two sisters; Betty Sue Baumgarder and her husband Dick of TN., Jenette Rollings and her husband Bobby of North Augusta, GA. and a brother; Eddie Glover and his wife Lyndia of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by her sister; Nell G. Horton.
The family will receive friends, Thursday, April 30, 2009, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home.
