Funeral services for Martha Dunn Gardner, 90, of Kershaw will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2012, in Buffalo Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. James Way, Donald Coppedge and Curtis Cameron will officiate. Mrs. Gardner, widow of Allen B. Gardner died Saturday, June 23, in Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Hattie Mangum Dunn. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. Mrs. Gardner was a resident of Lancaster Convalescent Center and formerly a resident at Heath Springs Residential Care Center. She also was a former employee for years at Springs Mills. Surviving are two daughters, Louise Faulkenberry and her husband Bobby of Mt. Holly, N.C., Judy Polson and her husband Larry of Kershaw; two sons, Gary Gardner and his wife Sylvia of Heath Springs, S.C., James Gardner and his wife Jenny of Lancaster; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Gladys Montgomery, Ethel Lee Hinson, Melita Hegler and Myrtis Stroud and brothers, Gilliam Bud Dunn, Rembert Dunn and Charlie Dunn. In lieu of flowers the family ask memorial donations be make to Buffalo Baptist Church, 6390 Lockhart Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067 The family will receive friends, Monday, June 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 3495-A Old Georgetown Road, West, Kershaw.
