Marie Williams

A funeral service for Marie Alice Gay Williams, 95 of Kershaw, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, December 19, in Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Keith Coates will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, Westville. Mrs. Williams widow of Everette Harry Williams died Friday, December 16, in White Oak Manor-Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late William Nathaniel and Lula Conelia Sowell Gay. She retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church where she served on the cemetery committee for over 50 years. Surviving are her son; Charles R. Williams and his wife Joann of Kershaw, 2 daughters; Conelia Zeedick and her husband Dr. John Francis Zeedick of Kershaw, Edna Mary Harrison and her husband Aubrey of Fayetteville, N.C., 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a sister; Ruby G. Williams of Kershaw. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters; Ruby Doris Williams, Sarah Louise Williams, son; Paul Williams, sister; Ethel G. Broughton and 3 brothers; Walter W. Gay, Ernest Gay and Curtis Gay. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
