Marie Mobley Holden

Marie Mobley Holden, age 82 of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, Charlotte, N.C. Born in Kershaw County, S.C. she was the only child of the late Frank Manuel Mobley and Sallie Cauthen Mobley. She was a former employee of Springs Industries and Grace Bleachery. Marie was a faithful member of Hanging Rock United Methodist Church. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. She enjoyed reading and quilting.

She is survived by her grandson, Jordan Catoe and first cousins, Henry (Peggie) Cauthen, Wendell (Clair) Hayes and L.C. (Linda) Hayes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jayson Catoe.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday morning, April 6, 2024, in Hanging Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Eddie Usher will conduct the service. The family will greet friends following the service in the cemetery.
