Funeral services for Marie Hunter Hinson, 92 of Kershaw, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Saturday, February 23, 2019 in the sanctuary of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. The Revs. Dr. Jason Moss, Bryant D. Fersner and Ronnie J. Hinson will officiate. Burial will be in the Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Hinson died Monday, February 18, at White Oak Manor, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late William T. “Bill” Hunter and Cora Lee Horton Hunter. Mrs. Hinson was a Baptist church secretary and also a church pianist for many years. She loved to garden, can vegetables and traveling. She also was a member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church.

Surviving are 2 sons, Larry Hinson and his wife Mary Ann of Aiken, Ronnie David Hinson and his wife Patti of Heath Springs; 4 grandchildren, Rebekah Hinson Welborn and her husband Tice of Simpsonville, John David Hinson of Atlanta, GA, Mathew Hinson of Aiken and Beth Hinson of Minneapolis, MN; 3 great grandchildren, Clayton Tice Welborn, David Rhett Welborn and Vivian Elyse Welborn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Jackson Hinson and 2 brothers, William J. Hunter and Julius E. Hunter.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, February 23, one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 o’clock p.m. in the church sanctuary.

Memorials may be directed to Kershaw Second Baptist Church, 7737 Kershaw-Camden Highway, Kershaw, SC 29067 in memory of Mrs. Hinson.
