Marie Humphries Reeves

Funeral services for Marie Humphries Reeves, 81, will be held Thursday, October 1, at 3:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home with burial to follow in Kershaw City Cemetery. Reverends Doug Humphries and James Way will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 30, from 5:00 6:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Buffalo Baptist Church, 6390 Lockhart Road, Kershaw, SC 29067.

Mrs. Reeves, widow of James Reeves, died Tuesday, September 29. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Verdie Anderson and Ida Laura Branham Humphries. Mrs. Reeves had retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. She loved the outdoors, flowers and her dog, Coco.

Surviving are her children, James B. Reeves (Elaine) of Lancaster, Myra Coats (Benny) of Kershaw, and Eddie Reeves (Debbie ) of Lancaster; granddaughter, Dawn Coats of Birmingham,Alabama; sisters, Mettie Bradley of Kershaw and Evelyn Plyler of Lancaster.
