Marie H. Connor

Graveside services for Marie Hunter Connor, 95, of Lancaster will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Heath Springs. Rev. Tony Clark will officiate. Mrs. Connor died Thursday, September 27, at Heath Springs Residential Center, Heath Springs. Born in Lancaster, December 30, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Toy and Elizabeth Small Hunter. Mrs. Connor owned the Trend Style Beauty Shop for 35 years. She was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Lancaster. Surviving are a daughter, Sybil Faile (Billy) of Kershaw; a son, Wayne Sutton of Riverside, TX; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great- great grandchildren; a brother, Rev. John D. Hunter of Mooresville and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Connor, a son, Roland Sutton of Cheraw, 2 brothers, Ivo Hunter, Jairy C. Hunter and 2 sisters, Mary Fletcher and Hilda Phillips. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
