Margaret Ragina Catoe

On January 22, 1955, William Yancey Roberts and Margaret Hayes decided to get married. As they journeyed through their life, they had their first child Margaret Ragina Roberts. She was born on a windy summer day on July 27, 1956, in Lancaster, S.C. She loved school and her friends. She was very studious and was inducted into the beta club. She loved home economics and crocheting became her favorite hobby. She graduated Mt. Pisgah High School in 1974. During her journey through life, she received the lord Jesus Christ as her savior at Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church. In 1979, Ragina bought a lawnmower for Aunt Mary and Grandma Hayes. The lawnmower needed to be fixed so she took it to Jimmy to be fixed. She pulled up in her Camaro to drop off the lawnmower and these two hit it off. They spent lots of time at softball games as they dated..

These two decided to get married on June 12, 1980.

On January 26, 1981, they welcomed their daughter, Amanda Allison Catoe into the world. Ragina thought her world was complete with her family until September of 2001, when Amanda came home and said I found the one I am going to marry. Amanda and Joel were married on September 20, 2003. They welcomed their first child a daughter, Riley Maria Roberts into the world on June 16, 2006. Being a Nana Ray was the best feeling in the world. On May 24, 2009, they welcomed their second child a son, Eli Timothy Roberts into the world and her joy doubled that day. These two were her world. Spoiling them and doing all the things Nana’s do for their grandchildren.

She worked for Caro Knit, Inc. for 25 plus years. After 16 years, she retired from AccuTrex Products, Inc. in December of 2020. This is when her life got to be the best. She loved being able to care and spend time with her family and friends. She loved going to get her hair fixed by Angie Hilton every week. She enjoyed being able to take trips and go shopping with her friends and family.

She served many roles at Laurel Hill Baptist Church. She served as the choir director for a few years and was currently the treasurer for the church. She was very dedicated to serving the Lord and showing others his love. Christmas time was her favorite time of the year. She loved church and family get togethers during the month of December. She always had a smile on her face when you would meet her and seems like she never met a stranger anywhere she went.

On December 16, 2021, at the age of 65, she entered the pearly Heavenly gates to her new home. The Lord told her, Well done thy good and faithful servant.

She is survived by her husband Jimmy; daughter, Amanda and her husband Joel Roberts who she loved like a son; 2 grandchildren, Riley and Eli Roberts; 2 brothers, Ronnie Lee Roberts and wife Shannon, and George Ray Roberts and wife Martha, and one sister, Becky Faulkenberry and husband Freddie who she thought of as a brother; 3 nieces, Erin Sutton, Tori Hinson and husband Nick, Tara Jackson and husband Rusty; 3 nephews, Pace Roberts, Dakota Roberts and Jasper Catoe; one great nephew, Wade Sutton, one great niece, Hayden Phillips and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
