A funeral service for Marcia Lee Belk Hoffman, 76, of Lancaster, SC, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2015, in the sanctuary of White Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Lancaster Memorial Park. The Revs. Don Waldrop and Wayne Dickson will officiate. Mrs. Hoffman, widow of Bobby Otis Hoffman died Saturday, January 24, 2015, at her home. Born in Lancaster, SC, she was a daughter of the late Henry Bascom and Hattie Belle Plyler Belk. She retired from Joslyn Clark Controls and attended White Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Hoffman was a devoted wife and enjoyed traveling. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving are a daughter, Janet Pate and her husband Brian DeVol; a son, Gary 'Bubba' Peagler; a “bonus child”, Patricia Beckham-Flynn and her husband Jerry; grandchildren, Josh Beckham and his fiancé Lauren Adams, Ryan Beckham, Allison Gilmore, Kevin Peagler and his wife Jenna, Crystal Peagler, Keicia Pate, Ashley DeVol and Heather DeVol; a sister, Doris Barr and her husband Steve; a sister-in-law, Estees Hoffman and many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, January 28, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the church Fellowship Hall. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Hoffman may be made to White Springs Baptist Church, 1249 Grace Avenue, Lancaster, SC 29720 or New Cut Presbyterian Church, 2617 New Cut Church Road, Lancaster, SC 29720. Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw is serving the Hoffman family.
