Funeral services for Madison Scottland “Scotti” Gandy, 17 of Appling, GA will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Kershaw directed by Baker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Abney Baptist Church Cemetery, Kershaw. “Scotti” entered into rest Sunday, October 13, 2013. She was the daughter of The Rev. Phillip and Paula Gandy. She was the sister of Bianca Alexis Gandy, Sarah Taylor Gandy, Savannah Kendra Gandy, Peyton Sydney Gandy and Phillip Joshua Gandy. Additional survivors include her grandparents, Ted and Martha Melton of Monroe, N.C., Mary Gandy of Kershaw, S.C., and the late Rev. William Ward Gandy of Kershaw, S.C.; her aunts and uncles, Mike and Ashley Melton of Monroe., N.C., Richard Melton of Monroe, N.C., Strait and Vicki Belk of Lancaster, S.C., and Larry Gandy of Lancaster, S.C.; numerous cousins and friends who loved her dearly and her pets, Cheerio and Sadie. “Scotti” was born in Raleigh, N.C. on January 17, 1996 and was a senior at Harlem High School in Harlem, GA where she played on the school volleyball team. Every time you saw her she had a smile on her face. “Scotti” was an active member of Marshall Baptist Church in Thomson, GA and now at The Vine in Thompson, GA. She was a committed born again believer. On Sunday morning, October 13, 2013, she went to heaven to meet her grandfather and her sibling whom she had never met. We will miss you our perfect and precious angel. She is in heaven with the love of her life; Chance Lonergen who gained his wings along with “Scotti”. We love you so very much and will think of you always. Visitation will be held following the committal service in the Abney Baptist Church Family Life Center.
