Louise Small Lyles

Graveside services for Louise Small Lyles, 89 of Kershaw will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2013, in Kershaw City Cemetery. Mr. Hugh Fletcher and Rev. Chadwick Ivester will officiate. Mrs. Lyles died Tuesday, August 20, 2013, in Heath Springs Residential Care, Heath Springs. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Jackson and Nannie Mae Robinson Small. She retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Larry G. Steele (Dedria) of Alma, Ak; a daughter, Linda C. Roberts (Russell) of Heath Springs; a daughter-in-law, Sara S. Steele of Kershaw; five grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 4 step children; a number of step grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Bowers of Westville, Johnnie Mae Coker of Lancaster and a brother, Bruce Small of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Walter Sikes Steele and Liston Lyles and a son, Donnie W. Steele. The family will receive friends any time at the home of her daughter-in-law.
