Louise Adams Baker, 92, of Kershaw, SC, died on December 16, 2015, at the Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, SC. She was the daughter of the late Lewis P. Adams and Avis C. Adams. She was the widow of the late Alton Kenneth “Bud” Baker. Mrs. Baker was born in Kershaw and graduated from Pageland High School. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Larry Baker and his wife, Elizabeth, of Lancaster; a daughter, Judy B. Baldwin of Kershaw; a sister, Joan A. Bridges, of Heath Springs; grandsons Ben Baker; John Baker, M.D. and his wife Jessica; Adam Baldwin; and great grand-daughter, Amelia Baker. She is also survived by six nieces, five nephews, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, William Robert Adams; a sister, Jacquelyn A. Clark; and a son-in-law, John Baldwin.
Mrs. Baker was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kershaw, SC and a member of the Esther Sunday School class, the members of which faithfully kept in touch after she was no longer able to attend the class.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to her loving caregivers Tiffany A. Morris and Terressa H. Starnes.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 18, at the Kershaw City Cemetery conducted by the Reverend Bill Truesdale and Dianne McManus.
