Lonnie E. Truesdale

ADC Lonnie E. Truesdale, USN (Ret.) age 77, of Kershaw, S.C. passed away Monday November 13, 2023, at Prisma Health Richland, Columbia, S.C. Born in Great Falls, S.C., he was a son of the late Barney A. and Mary McComack Truesdale. Mr. Truesdale served twenty years in the US Navy. He loved his family, his friends and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He had a special bond with his grandson, Dylan and his dog, Max.

He is survived by his loving wife Geraldine Coates Truesdale; his sons, Todd (Dina) Wissinger, Tim (Jenn) Wissinger, and Brian (April) Owens; his daughters, Tina (Mike) McNeal and Tammie (David) Lyles; his brothers, Kenneth (Glenda) Truesdale and Tommy (Carol) Truesdale; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jody Owens, sisters, Gladys, June, and Ann and brothers, Buddy and Billy.

A graveside service will be held Friday, November 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in Bethany Westville Baptist Church Cemetery, Westville, S.C. Rev. Bobby James will officiate.

The family will greet friends following the service in the cemetery.
