A funeral service for Lola Baker Cauthen, 93 of Kershaw will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014 in the sanctuary of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. Rev. Don Knight will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Mrs. Cauthen, widow of John Stanley Cauthen died Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Lemuel Boyd and Annie Iola Faulkenberry Baker. Mrs. Cauthen retired from Springs Industries and was a faithful member of Kershaw Second Baptist Church. She also enjoyed latch hooking and playing bingo. Surviving are 3 daughters, Margie C. Vincent and her husband Bill of Heath Springs, Marcene C. Frost and her husband Tommy , Linda C. Faulkenberry and her husband Roger all of Kershaw; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Carroll Gene Cauthen and Roger Dell Cauthen; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers for Mrs. Cauthen, Patricia Bowers, Tina Elliott, Joan Harmon, Dora Lucas, Linda Jordan, Iva Mae Long, Shirley Hall and Linda Faulkenberry. The family would also like to thank Dr. Afulukwe as her doctor and special friend. The family will receive friends, Friday evening, June 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 477 Kershaw-Country Club Rd., Kershaw. In lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Mrs. Cauthen may be made to Kershaw Second Baptist Church, Building Fund, 7737 Kershaw-Camden Hwy., Kershaw, SC 29067 or charity of one's choice..
