Funeral services for Lillian McManus Phillips, 90, of Kershaw, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, July 10, in the sanctuary of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church. The Revs. Todd Montgomery, Thurmond Johnson and Mr. Daryl Hinson will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, prior to the service at the church beginning at 2:00 o’clock p.m.

Mrs. Phillips, loving wife of the late Sammie “Buster” Phillips died Sunday, July 8, at her home. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Effel Jack “E.J.” McManus, Sr. and Hessie Baker McManus. Mrs. Phillips was a former employee of Springs Industries, a homemaker, loving mother, Granny and great Granny. She was also a faithful member of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church.

Surviving are 3 sons, Maurice (Zoe) Phillips, Eric (Renee) Phillips and Keith (Wendy) Phillips; 6 grandchildren, Rebekah (Bob) Watson, Derek Phillips, Heather (Lathan) Snipes, Josh (Michelle) Phillips, Timothy Phillips and Jonathan Dunn; 3 great grandchildren, Brady, Gunner and Paislee Snipes; 5 brothers, Olin McManus, James McManus, Henry McManus, Carl Lee McManus and Ralph McManus and 2 sisters, Mary Helen M. Phillips and Dori M. Kullbom. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, E.J. McManus and John McManus and 3 sisters, Mae Doris M. Hinson, Louise M. Bowers and Alene M. Catoe.
