Leon Lewis

A graveside service for Leon Dan Lewis, 67, of Lancaster, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2015, in Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Pageland, SC.

Mr. Lewis died Wednesday, November 25, at CMC-Pineville. Born in the Tradesville community of Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Daniel Lewis and Katie Helms Lewis Hinson. Mr. Lewis was a popular DJ in the area providing music, karaoke and teaching line dancing since 1989. He was a diesel mechanic, a Mason, a Shriner and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of Catawba Baptist Church, Lancaster, where he had been involved with the youth ministry. Mr. Lewis also served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.

Surviving are 9 children, James Lewis, Amanda (Gary) Stegall, Melissa Lewis, Travis (Amanda) Lewis, Lee (Christie) Lewis, Natalie Lewis, Jillian Lewis, Mason Lewis and Larson Lewis; 14 grandchildren; a brother, John (Susan), a sister, Shirley Underwood and number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, November 28, from 4:00 – 6:00 o’clock p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw and other times at the home of his daughter, 3342 White Plains Church Road, Jefferson, SC 29718.
