Lennie Junior Self

A memorial service for Lennie Junior Self, 70 of Bethune will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. The Rev. Terry Corder will officiate. Mr. Self died Sunday, March 2, 2014, at KershawHealth, Camden. Born in Bethune, S.C., he was the son of the late Dalton Washington and Sadie Sarah Warr Self. Mr. Self was retired from Springs Industries. Surviving are his son, Gerald Lynn Self of Columbia; his daughter, Brenda England of Elgin; 2 grandchildren, Dylan and Jessica; 9 sisters, Irene Joyner of Bishopville, Loretta Deese of Morven, N.C., Dorothy Sullivan of Bethune, Flora Mae Williams of Kershaw, Sarah Dollarhyde of Bethune, Joan Gabel of Cassatt, Anna Taylor of Bethune, Dora Gillespie of Bethune, Joyce Self of Lancaster; 2 brothers, Dalton Thomas Self of Wadesboro, N.C. and Jimmy Self of Bethune. Also surviving is his aunt, Frances Pruitt of Chesterfield. He was preceded in death by a aunt, Clara Self. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and other times at his home, 2242 John Munn Road, Bethune. Memorials may be made to Mt.
