Lawrence Smith, Sr.

Funeral services for Lawrence Edward Smith, Sr., 91, will be held Saturday, September 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Beaverdam Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Revs. Homer Hinson, Steve Leigh and Chaplain Mark Bredholdt will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to Beaverdam

Mr. Smith died Thursday, September 10. Born in Bishopville, he was the son of the late Walter and Lillie Hinson Smith. Mr. Smith had retired from Kendall Mill and was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Dora Lee Brown Smith; daughters, Barbara S. Smith (G.W.) of Cassatt, and Pam S Julian (Dave) of Camden; sons, Lawrence E. Smith, Jr. (Janet) of Cassatt, Glen Smith (Nancy) of Lugoff, Jerry Smith (Vicki) of Cassatt, Jimmy Smith (Debra) of Cassatt, and Philip Smith ( Cynde) of Camden; grandchildren, Keith, Chuck, Stephanie, Eric, Misty, Tray, Nikie, Paige, Jay, Craig, Ty, Kyle, Chris, Melanie, Rachel, and Britton; 26 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 2 sisters and 9 brothers.
