Laura Leanne Wright

A funeral service for Laura Leanne Wright, 32 of Lancaster, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Sunday, September 13, in the sanctuary of Oak Hill Baptist Church. The Revs. Cliff Henson and Thurmond Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Laura died Thursday, September 10, at Presbyterian Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. Born in Lancaster, she was the only daughter of Wendell and Donna Griffin Wright. She studied to become a dental assistant. She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. She also loved animals and enjoyed singing.

Surviving in addition to her parents of Lancaster are a daughter, Lacey Grace Small of the home; her maternal grandmother, Laura Mae Griffin of Great Falls and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death her maternal grandfather, Jerry Griffin and her paternal grandparents, Clyde and Joyce Wright.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, September 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 o’clock p.m., at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 874 S. Potter Road, Lancaster.
