Funeral services for Larry James Jimmy Catoe, Sr. , 61 will be held at 11:00 A.M. WEDNESDAY, MAY 21, 2008, in Heath Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. The Rev. Gary Harris will officiate.

Mr. Catoe died Sunday, May 18, 2008, in Providence Hospital, Columbia. Born in Kershaw, he was the son of Margaret Bowers Catoe and the late Ira Brown Catoe. He worked as a Loan Officer at Founders Federal Credit Union. Mr. Catoe was a member of Heath Springs Baptist Church, an avid Gamecock fan, former mayor of Heath Springs, served as a former Heath Springs Town Council member and served his country in the US Army.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Kershaw are his wife Dawn Marshall Catoe of the home, his children: Larry James Jimmy Catoe, Jr. and his wife Melissa of Heath Springs, Julie Catoe Wilson and her husband Jim of Kershaw, Jason Franklin Catoe and his wife Kim of Kershaw, 4 grandchildren: Zachery Rothrock, Ana Grace Catoe, Jessamine Wilson, Jake Wilson; a brother Donald M. Donnie Catoe and his wife Ann of Pageland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorials and Tributes Processing Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.

The family will receive friends at the home of his son, 6719 Beecher Horton Road, Heath Springs.
