A service to celebrate the life of Lanny Ross Stover, 76, of Heath Springs, SC, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2017, in the sanctuary of Flint Ridge Baptist Church, Heath Springs, SC. Rev. Kelvin Hinson will officiate.
A private family burial will precede the service in the Flint Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will greet friends immediately following the celebration of life service in the Family Life Center.
Mr. Stover, died Sunday, February 12, 2017, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, SC. Born in Lancaster County, he was a son of the late David Woodrow “Top” and Ruby Horton Stover. He was a electrician for the Dupont Co. and was also associated with Truesdale Electric. Mr. Stover enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. He was a member of Flint Ridge Baptist Church and Baron Masonic Lodge, Heath Springs.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Audrey Melinda “Linda” Duncan Stover of the home; a son, David (Emily) Stover; 2 daughters, Lana Stover (Mandy Catoe) and Kami S. (Dean) Fletcher; 6 grandchildren, Katelyn S. (Andrew) Orton, Jonathan Stover, Mary Ellen (Matt) Hobbs, Jacob Stover, Marisa Fletcher and Lexi Fletcher; a brother, Milton (Martha) Stover; 7 sisters, Brenda (Jimmy) Horton, Emily (Robert) McDow, Dianna (Jerry) Clements, Kathy (Joe) Catledge, Shelby (Arthur) Gross, “Maggie” Rigby and Delores “Lucy” (John) Holden.
A viewing will be held from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, at the funeral home for those desiring.
The family will be at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, 1589 Harkey Rd., Lancaster, SC.
