Konstantinos "Gus" Deligiannidis

Konstantinos “Gus” Deligiannidis, age 77, of Kershaw, S.C. passed away, Wednesday morning, February 14, 2024, at his home. Born in Akrolimni, Greece on October 1, 1946, to the late Theodoros Deligiannidis and Simela Raptidou Deligiannidis. He received his MBA from Michigan State University. “Gus” as he was affectionally called was the owner – operator of Gus’ House of Pizza for 34 years prior to this retirement recently. His family was most important to him. He enjoyed traveling and visiting his homeland. He was also passionate about health through nutrition.

He left behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 50 years, Evthokia Apostolou “Effie” Deligiannidis; 3 children, Simela “Melina” Oueini and her husband, Daniel, Maria Pavlopoulos and her husband, Antonis and Theodoros Deligiannidis and his wife, Karin; 11 grandchildren, Evthokia “Effie” Thompson and her husband, Hank, Sophia Oueini, Zoe Oueini, Samuel “Sammy” Oueini, Dimitra “Demi” Pavlopoulos, Evthokia “Effie” Pavlopoulos, John Pavlopoulos, Evthokia “Evi” Deligiannidis, Konstantinos “Gus” Deligiannidis, Thomas Deligiannidis and Gregory Deligiannidis and his twin brother, Neoptolemos Deligiannidis and his wife, “Kiki”.

The family will greet friends, Friday afternoon February 16, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Baker Conference Center, 105 N. Minor Street, Kershaw, S.C. followed by the Trisagion Prayer Service beginning at 5:00 p.m.

A funeral service to remember and honor his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024, in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1900 Main Street, Columbia, S.C. 29201. The burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery, 190 Kirkland Ave., Kershaw, S.C. 29067 at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Father Michael Platanis and Father Chrysostom Mitchell will officiate.

Memorial donations may be directed to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1931 Sumter Street, Columbia, S.C. 29201.
