A bright light extinguished too early. Kole Skyler Samuels, 14, of Kershaw, S.C. passed away suddenly on November 1, 2021. He leaves behind two heartbroken parents, Thomas William Samuels, II and Jessica Lynn Phillips Samuels, along with a sibling due in 2022.
Kole was the son every parent dreams of raising. Upon his birth, he immediately became his parents’ entire world. Kole had a huge heart and an honest tongue. He adored his cat, Socks, and the two would often be found together. Playing video games with his dad, talking politics with his mom and cracking jokes were some of his favorite things to do. He was a marksman with the bow and a sharpshooter with firearms. His interest in learning had him consistently asking questions, while also sharing his own opinion and providing others an alternate perspective. This world has lost one of the best people to EVER be in it! Although he is no longer physically with us, his presence will forever be felt in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will never be forgotten.
Kole was an 8th grader at Andrew Jackson Middle School.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Kershaw are; maternal grandpa, Jesse Phillips; maternal grandma, Debra Phillips; maternal great-grandfather, Pete Phillips; aunts and uncles, Brittany Hinson and Marty Hinson, Ashley Croy and Brandon Croy; cousins, Trey Hinson and Axel Croy; paternal grandpa and grandma, Tom and Susan Powers; great grandmother, Catherine Buttacoli; aunts and uncles, Hallie & Ryan Maestre, Michael Powers and Christopher Powers; great uncle, Angelo Buttacoli and cousins, Olivia and Harper.
Funeral services will be conducted, Friday, November 5, 2021, at 12:00 noon, from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Hinson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenhaven Preserve Cemetery, Eastover, S.C.
