Kelly E. Smith

Funeral services for Kelly Elizabeth Smith, 34, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 27, 2010, in Buffalo Baptist Church, Kershaw. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Revs. James Way and Todd Horton will officiate.

Miss Smith died Friday, August 20, in Providence Hospital, Columbia. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Dennis and Betty Gardner Smith. She was an honor graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School and a member of Springvale Baptist Church. Kelly loved NASCAR racing, model trains, collecting dolls and reading.

Surviving in addition to her parents of the home are her brother; Matthew Smith and his wife Erika of Chapin, a nephew; Edwin Smith, her maternal grandmother; Lorene Gardner of Kershaw, her paternal grandfather; Donald Paddock of Massachusetts, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her very much. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather; Mendel Gardner and her paternal grandmother; Shirley Paddock.

The family will receive friends, prior to the service from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the church family life center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for Kelly's medical expenses.
